This delicious bread recipe was given to us by a lovely customer who whizzes into the factory to buy her ‘bucket load’ of Munchy Seeds whenever she’s up in Suffolk! It is so easy and is fun to make, the kids will especially enjoy pouring in the beer and watching it froth up… The waft of fresh hot baked bread is heaven in the kitchen as guests arrive for a simple kitchen supper of soup & homemade bread. Go on give it a go…
500g of self raising flour
100g savoury flavoured Munchy Seeds (plus extra for sprinkling over the loaf)
440ml can of lager (pour in just under a can otherwise it gets a wee bit sticky)
1 Tblsp of caster sugar
50g grated strong cheddar cheese
1 tsp of salt
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and blob roughly onto a baking sheet.
Sprinkle the crust all over liberally with any of the savoury Munchy Seed blends.
Bake at 190C for 45 minutes (No kneading required)!
Rip the bread apart and enjoy with a warming soup, sprinkled with Munchy Seeds!
For an added variety try Olives or sun dried tomatoes in the bread mix.
