There is no better British pudding than a traditional British crumble, it is easy to make and simply delicious served with custard or ice cream. These mini crumbles are dairy free and can be made with any fruit filling of your choice.
Crumble Topping (makes 6-8 mini crumbles)
120g dairy-free margarine (we used Flora)
120g demerara sugar
3 tbs oil (eg sunflower)
400g fruit of your choice for the filling. We used damson and pear and blackberry and apple.
- Rub the margarine into the flour until it looks like breadcrumbs
- Add the oats and rub into the mixture
- Add the sugar and mix
- Stir in the oil
- Using a fruit filling of your choice (we used Damson and Pear with Super Berry seeds and Apple and Blackberry with Salted Caramel seeds) add some to each ramekin/small oven-proof dish.
- Top with crumble mix – scatter over some more seeds and bake in the oven at 180 degrees C for about 30 minutes.
