We are sure that many of you will have watched David Attenborough’s ‘Extinction’ programme and we have followed this up with news from Jane Clinton of the i newspaper. She states that in a study (published in the journal Nature Sustainability) scientists analysed and mapped food growing areas and agricultural land and it was found that by just scaling back on meat or dairy (not completely giving it up) we could remove between 9 to 16 years of global fossil fuel emissions.
So, the good news is that it isn’t all doom and gloom environmentally. We can do something about it. Incredible to think that eating seeds on your salad instead of chicken could help to regenerate biodiversity and vegetation regrowth!
