World Environment Day is an initiative created by the United Nations to encourage worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. We want to show you how you can incorporate eco-friendly living into your daily routine, even from the comfort of your home.

  • Eat more plant-based foods

Did you know that farming animals is one of the biggest contributors to climate change? Meat and dairy production causes 14.5% of planet-warming gases.[i]
For this reason, trying to eat plant based as often as possible is great for the environment. To start, try to focus on incorporating plant-based foods as your main protein sources.
We can help you with that one – seeds are a fantastic source of protein! Just one of our Mega Omega snack packs provides you with 5.5g of protein, 11% of your recommended daily intake!

  • Be creative with your leftovers

Food waste is amongst the biggest contributors to climate change. If food waste were a country it would be the third largest emitter of greenhouse gases after China and USA and in most developed countries over half of food waste is happening at home.[ii]

Why not get creative with your leftover food? Try a new recipe or create your own variation! We have plenty of ideas on our recipe page and we love to see you making them at home! Tag us @munchyseeds on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.

  •  Walk, cycle or use public transport more!

Using public transport or even cycling to and from places is a fail-safe way to know you’re doing good for your carbon footprint.  Plus, who doesnt love a refreshing cycle on a Summer’s day?

  •  Reusables

We all know about taking our tote bags shopping and our mugs for coffee, but did you know you can also get re-usable straws, cutlery, and non-plastic toothburshes! The world of bamboo accesories is limitless! (but seriously, bamboo toothbrushes are great).
We hope you found these tips useful, let us know how you are aiming towards an eco-friendly lifestyle! Find out more about World Environment Day and what you can do to help at https://www.worldenvironmentday.global/
