Savoury roasted sunflower, pumpkin and sesame seeds. This healthy snack is the second mix we came up with, over 10 years ago, and is one of our most popular. The three seeds (Sunflower, Pumpkin & Sesame) used in this healthy snack provide a very nutty and moreish flavour. Liven up a salad with them or try dipping a banana into them. A real kids favourite!
Why it's good for you...
This is our special ANTIOXIDANT mix. Anti-what, you might ask? Antioxidants help protect our body’s cells from what scientists call ‘oxidative damage’ by harmful molecules called ‘free radicals’ (not a new political party!). This oxidative damage is involved in all sorts of bad things, from heart disease and cancer, to the ageing process itself. So you could also call this our Anti-ageing mix!
The pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds in this tasty mix are great sources of the antioxidant vitamins A and E, which help mop up the free radicals before they can do any damage. Sesame seeds contain plant chemicals called phytosterols, which could also lower your cancer risk (plus keeping your cholesterol levels in check).
